We are excited to announce that we are expanding and looking to grow our team with a new Centre Assist Onboarding Technical Consultant!

Position Summary
The Onboarding Technical Consultant is a Tier 2 technical delivery role responsible for independently assessing, documenting, securing, and preparing new client environments for ongoing managed support. This position performs onsite and remote technical discovery, deploys and validates Centre tools and standards, resolves intermediate infrastructure and endpoint issues, and partners with Project Services and Centre Assist throughout active onboardings. The role also serves as a technical liaison between the client, project team, and receiving support team.

Frequent local travel and occasional out-of-town travel required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Lead technical assessments of new client environments, including endpoints, servers, identity, Microsoft 365, networks, security controls, applications, vendors, backups, and support dependencies
•    Validate physical and logical asset inventories at client sites, including hardware make, model, role, location, warranty, configuration, and support status
•    Partner with Project Services and other technical teams to complete onboarding, remediation, migration, and implementation activities
•    Identify, document, prioritize, and escalate technical issues, risks, blockers, scope concerns, and change-order triggers in a timely manner
•    Prioritize assigned work, manage competing technical tasks, and meet project milestones and deadlines
•    Independently troubleshoot Tier 2 issues involving Windows endpoints and servers, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, virtualization, file services, and remote access
•    Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot approved onboarding tools, agents, applications, and equipment using RMM, scripting, Group Policy, Intune, and vendor portals
•    Enter time, expenses, project notes, task status, and required documentation accurately and on or before established deadlines
•    Maintain current knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, endpoint management, cybersecurity, automation, and MSP technology trends; embrace change and continuous improvement
•    Act as the technical liaison between the client, Project Services, Client Services, Security Operations, Platform Services, and other delivery teams
•    Support change-management, go-live, validation, and operational handoff activities
•    Recommend improvements to onboarding workflows, automation, documentation, validation, and quality controls
•    Align technical findings and recommendations with Centre standards, the approved scope, client requirements, and Centre’s IT blueprint
•    Prepare complete, concise, and support-ready documentation, including technical configurations, environment diagrams, vendor records, known issues, risks, and validation evidence
•    Provide daily updates on completed work, progress, blockers, risks, and next steps to the Project Manager
•    Translate business needs and environmental findings into practical, secure, and supportable technical solutions
•    Manage deployment and configuration of equipment in compliance with established technology, security, and asset-management policies
•    Validate administrative access, licensing, monitoring, alerting, patching, endpoint protection, backups, and support-readiness requirements before go-live

Education/Experience/Certifications 
•    3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, infrastructure, systems administration, field services, or technical project delivery
•    2+ years of experience working directly in client environments, preferably within an MSP, consulting, or multi-client setting
•    Must possess working knowledge and practical experience with:
•    Windows 11 administration, deployment, troubleshooting, patching, encryption, and endpoint security
•    Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licensing, and tenant settings
•    Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, NTFS and share permissions, MFA, Conditional Access concepts, and hybrid identity fundamentals
•    Networking concepts and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, NAT, firewall rules, and common network services
•    Application, desktop, server, and cloud virtualization using Hyper-V, VMware, Azure, or comparable platforms
•    Microsoft Intune or equivalent endpoint management, application deployment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and Windows Autopilot concepts
•    Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and certifications may be considered
Desired Experience/ Certifications
•    One or more current, role-aligned certifications or equivalent demonstrated experience preferred:
o    CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
o    Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900), Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
•    Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
•    Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025; Microsoft Azure; Microsoft 365; Entra ID; Intune; and PowerShell fundamentals
•    Experience with RMM, PSA, documentation, backup, networking, EDR, DNS security, application control, privilege management, and vulnerability-management platforms
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
•    Must be a collaborative team player with strong ownership, sound escalation judgment, and outstanding client service skills


Work Environment and Physical Demands  

•    Work is performed primarily in climate-controlled office, remote, and client-site environments with minimal safety or health hazard potential.
•    Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 50 pounds may be required
